No he enseñado las fotos del último viaje y ya estoy preparando otro… y cuando digo preparando, es haciendo la maleta.

Seattle, Washington, Pacific North West, Portland, Canadá. Así comencé 2018.
15 días muy intensos en una zona no tan conocida ni transitada de EEUU. 15 días de aventuras en invierno, con frío, lluvia y nieve. Y a pesar de que dicen que el verano allí es mejor, mi experiencia ha sido única e inmejorable. Desde las 10 horas de avión atravesando el polo norte, hasta la nevada para llegar a un pueblo en las montañas de Washington, pasando por la visita a Orcas Island o los conciertos en el centro de la ciudad. Momentos únicos y divertidos, momentos con mucho sabor.

Mes del viaje: enero.

La gente del viaje: muy amable. En ocasiones extremadamente amable (digo ‘gente’ y no estadounidenses porque la multiculturalidad por la zona es muy notable. Además, el viaje también incluyó una breve visita a Canadá) y por supuesto, mi amiga, a la que iba a visitar.

Café: everywhere. Adictos al café americano.

Termos de café: todos llevan su termo. Gran conciencia sobre el uso de desechables (teniendo en cuenta los miles de cafés que toman al día, es un detalle por el medio ambiente)

Comida: qué decir de la comida americana… eso sí, he probado sushi delicioso.

Tips: todo tiene tips. Siempre tienes que dejar tips. Además de contar con que los precioso son sin IVA.

¿Qué más me hubiera gustado ver?: Olympic península. Una zona que combina mar y montaña, paisajes de pinos con el pacifico de fondo y muchos animalitos en verano, como osos, zorros o linces.

Sin duda, un viaje muy recomendable.

Washington

I haven’t posted pictures from my last trip and I’m planning the next one already. When I say planning I mean packing.

Seattle, Washington, Pacific North West, Canada, Portland. This is how I started 2018. Not bad uh?
15 days traveling around this non very known and visited area in USA. 15 days of winter adventures, cold weather, snow and rain. Many people told me that in summer this area is much better but I have to say that my experience has been awesome the way it’s been. From the 10 hours flight through the North Pole to the snowed day in a little town in the mountains, going through visiting orcas island and some gigs in town.

Month of my trip: January.

People: very nice people. I say people and not americans because this is a multicultural area and there are citizens from all around the globe.

Coffee: everywhere! They simply love it.

Coffee thermos: glad to see how many people use their own thermo ir order to reduce the huge amount of disposables.

Food: well, it didn’t disappointed me because I was ready for it… but I have to say that I tried very tasty sushi.

Tips: you have to give tips everywhere, every time. When shopping, also bear in mind the price of the products are before tax.

What else I would have loved to see? Definitely the Olympic Peninsula: this is an area where you can combine mountains and see with some beautiful animals like bears, foxes or the bobcat.

Do not miss the opportunity to visit Washington if you have a chance.
