Porque es mejor decir un “te acuerdas…?” a un “te imaginas…?”, me dedico a viajar y a sumar experiencias.
2018 ha sido un año intenso de viajes y escapadas. Un año donde, por suerte, he recorrido islas recónditas en cuyos mares habitan las orcas en verano, he paseado por pueblos de adobe en mitad del desierto, he aprendido a pescar en lagos helados, he tenido que cubrirme el pelo para visitar un país, he sabido cómo huele una ciudad dedicada al petróleo, y he visitado construcciones con mucha magia e historia detrás (¡entre otros!). Como siempre ocurre, el lugar es mil veces más bonito y mejor recordado cuando la experiencia es agradable y la compartes. Y estas han sido las experiencias, los momentos y los lugares que me han dejado una sonrisa al recordarlos este año. Se encuentran por orden de tamaño de sonrisa y reconozco que me ha costado elegir solo 10.

Because is better to say “Do you remember…?” rather than “Can you imagine…?”, I like to travel and collect moments.
2018 has been a year full of trips and adventures. A year where, fortunately, I have been in islands where you can see orcas in summertime, I have walked in a village in the middle of the desert, I have seen ice fishing, I had to cover my hair to visit a country, I have smelled a city dedicated to oil, and I have visited magical constructions with a lot of history. Obviously, the impact of the experience and how you will remember it depends on who you are with and how you felt then.
These places have been the ones that now, at the end of the year, make me smile again and again.They are in my smile size order and I have to admit that was difficult to choose just 10.

1. Naqsh-e Yahán square: this kind of places you do not want to say Goodbye. Because of the people. The culture. The beauty itself. Day or night time.

2. Orcas islands. For being wild. Pure. For its landscapes and its unexplored routes. And obviously because you can see orcas is summertime.

3. Mont Saint-Michel. Because there are wonderful places full of essence able to move you to another era. And because of the magic of the place when all the tourists leave.

4. A cabin in Hämeenlinna. For feeling the warmth in frozen lakes. For being part of local traditions. And for the deafening ice cracking underfoot.

5. Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park. Because I wanted to do it so bad for many years. Because my desire made sense. Because of the unexpected end of the route.

6. Carrapateira beach. Because it turned us wilds. For how easy is to be incredible. How incredible the easiness. is

7. Etna volcano. Because I have reconciled myself and fall in love at the same time with Sicily. And because I would love to see it with lava (could be right now!)

8. La Jonction. Because of the marvellous colours of nature in autumn. Because this was what I liked the most in Geneva.

9. Flame Towers. Because of the mix between the new and the old. The mix of cultures. Because you can see them from everywhere in the city. And because at night are even better.

10. Caminito del rey path. Because there are many beautiful and hidden places in Spain. Because is worth to do it and learn about its history.
