Un lugar mágico, misterioso, salvaje… para perderse y para encontrarse.

Pero no, no vi orcas. Esas criaturas solo pasan por allí en verano… Y entonces ese archipiélago debe convertirse en un paraíso de la naturaleza.

Era invierno. Cogimos un barco a las 7am para ir a Orcas Island. Frío, viento y un amanecer increíble mientras veíamos pasar todas las islas desde el ferry.

Al llegar: cafeterías en las que podrías pasar el día entero leyendo con vistas al mar, carreteras al borde del agua, lagos, bosques, rutas por cataratas, momentos de sol en una playa improvisada, niebla, y sobre todo, muchos rincones para perderse. Y lo bueno de ser invierno es que solo nos cruzamos con locales ☺️

Perfecta para recorrerla en un día y disfrutar como una niña.

A magical, mysterious place to get lost and to find yourself.

But no, I didn’t see any orcas. Those creatures only pass through there in summer… And then that archipelago must become a paradise of nature.

Wintertime. We took a boat at 7am to get to the island: cold weather, wind and an incredible sunrise while watching all the little islands from the ferry.

About the island: cute coffeehouses where one can spend the whole day with the sea views, roads in the sea border, lakes, forests, routes through waterfalls, sunny moments in hidden beaches, fog and lots of places to be lost in. The best part of being winter was that we didn’t see a tourist in the entire day.

Perfect to discover the island in a day and enjoy as a kid.
